Millions of people around the world are turning off their lights for an hour every March to show their steadfast commitment to protecting nature. Join us on Saturday, March 23, at 20:30!
Aware of all the impacts of humans on nature - its resources that we take for granted, yet cannot withstand our demands without consequences and its possibilities, WWF has been warning for decades that our behavior must change.
However, we are not here just to warn and present scientific evidence supporting the serious disruption in nature's balance. WWF also offers concrete solutions on how to restore that balance.
This year's contribution to our planet in Serbia will be the continuation of work on restoring Amazon of Europe. We plan to restore the floodplain forest in the "Upper Danube" Special Nature Reserve, with an area of approximately 36 hectares according to project plans. Those who follow our work know that in this case, we will not only restore floodplain forests but also a home for countless plant and animal species!

This year's Light Festival in Zagreb not only brings the magic of light installations but also sends a powerful message about the importance of nature conservation and sustainability! The festival will join the global Earth Hour initiative, with the forest cyclamen chosen as its main symbol - an endangered spring flower reminding us of the necessity to protect natural beauty and wildlife. From March 20th to 24th, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a total of 29 attractions at 24 locations over five days.
WWF's location will feature a 3D mapping projection at Marko Marulić Square, showcasing the unity of nature and people.
On Saturday, March 23rd, lights will be turned off for 15 minutes at all festival locations from 8:30 pm to 8:45 pm to mark participation in the Earth Hour action! Visit our location and enjoy the reminder that we are all part of nature and share the same home with all beings on the planet
